What China can learn from a platform like APC

The APC Secretariat in Singapore hosted a delegation from China under the auspices of the upcoming China Charity Fair at our offices on 25 August 2016. The 15-member delegation consisted of representatives from regional and national foundations and research agencies working on the new China Charity Law. Laurence and Stacey shared APC’s mission and activities, along with the Asian philanthropy landscape with the audience. APC in Bangkok: new markets but similar education challenges

APC Co-Founder and CEO Laurence Lien spoke at the Thailand Strategic Giving forum in Bangkok on 23 August 2016. The event was supported by The Rockefeller Foundation and Laurence shared on the early childhood education projects undertaken by Lien Foundation in Singapore, highlighting how philanthropists can address gaps on the government side. APC welcomed 2 new staff: Berlinda Gooi in July, and Stacey Choe in August. Stacey Choe Stacey has a strong background in the philanthropic sector in Asia, having served as the Membership Services Director at the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network for 4 years before her last role as Director of Policy Engagement. Prior to joining AVPN, she had 8 years of experience in marketing communications, events management, market research and strategy.
