The ASEAN Community Impact Funds (ACIF) launched in early 2018, it is an umbrella of philanthropic funds that leverages on collaborative philanthropy to accelerate social progress in Southeast Asia through high-impact interventions. The funds are started and managed by the Asia Philanthropy Circle, which is tapping into the resources and expertise of our members; convening and coordinating philanthropists and other stakeholders on a common agenda.
Currently, there are two sub-funds under the ACIF, including the Thousand Days Fund Indonesia, which addresses stunting in Indonesia, and the Myanmar Community Development Fund, which focuses on the ground-up holistic development of the Taunggyi District in South Shan, Myanmar. There are other sub-funds in development, and these are launched when anchor member donors champion a specific cause and mobilises other members to co-fund and co-engage.
All the funds under ACIF will be managed through APC and will share common guiding principles, including a set framework of governance, monitoring and evaluation, and the shared commitment to furthering social good through collaborative and strategic philanthropy.
